Eloralintide, is a long-acting, selective amylin receptor agonist being developed for chronic weight management with once-weekly subcutaneous dosing. It is an amylin analog conjugated to a C20 fatty-diacid chain that binds albumin reversibly and stretches its half-life enough for weekly injection, and in cell assays it preferentially activates the human amylin 1 receptor (AMY1R) — about 12-fold over the calcitonin receptor and 11-fold over AMY3R^[2]. That selectivity is what distinguishes it from non-selective dual amylin/calcitonin agonists such as cagrilintide.
